As usual, I followed the instructions for plain white bread, but this time I also added 3 tablespoons dried Rosemary, 1 tablespoon dried German Thyme (from our garden this year), 1 tablespoon dried sage (from our garden this year), and two tablespoons dried basil. It smelled wonderful while mixing and baking, and didn't disappoint in flavor. Yum! This combination is a winner!
I'm hoping to have the energy to get out and refill the hay bin before it rains tomorrow morning to save money. Pellet food gets expensive when we go through 20 pounds every day. If I can offset the feed with "hay day" every other day, it cuts the feed bill in half. And since the hay is already here... It just needs to be harvested when it's dry... Why not? Bunnies seem healthy on this every other day diet, and I still give pellet feed to nursing mommas and weaned grow-out bunnies every day to keep weight up and milk supply coming.
I'm tired and off to bed early tonight. Perhaps that's a good sign for getting up to do hay in the morning.
