Tony is bringing the replacement red bulb home tonight and the supplies to fix the basement door to make it draft-free. Tomorrow I will test the bulb out to make sure the light fixture is at the right height to make the space under it 100-degrees. When Tony gets home tomorrow he will work on fixing the door. That should conclude all of our prep work for the initial round of test chicks we're set to pick up from Tractor Supply on Tuesday. I'm still really crossing my fingers they might have ducklings or goslings in stock, but will settle for chicks if not.
I also heard that Tractor Supply may have a minimum purchase. We may have to get more than the three test birds we planned for. Not the end of the world, but still, something to consider.
