Lola's litter is finally old enough to leave, but none have gone to new homes yet. They're all black, though one looks more brown/grey, and one has a weird white tuft on one side of the neck. There are three girls and two boys, $20 each if anyone is interested.
Penelope's babies will be ready for new homes soon too. They'll be six weeks old in two more days (5/3). They're quite a bit smaller than Lola's babies, but that's not surprising at all considering how much larger Lola is than Penelope. I haven't checked gender yet, though I do need to update photos. They're pretty cute.
Cinder just had her litter last night. When I peeked in the box last night she had six babies (three dark and three spotted just like Sushi's pattern). Today she had pulled a lot more fur and wouldn't leave the nest box, so I don't know if she had more, or if she's just being motherly. I didn't want to shoo her away just to peek. They'll be six weeks old June 11th.
Today we bred Elizabeth to Bennett (as per #4's instructions - Elizabeth is her doe after all). We witnessed several "successful" pairings and anticipate bunnies around the end of this month of beginning of next month.
We switched some bunnies around to make sure that Bubbles had access to a nest box as she is supposed to be due tomorrow. She was also bred to Sushi as a test pairing to see if he carries the genetics for Satin.
In all we now have 5 baby bunnies and two older rabbits ready to go right now, another eight that will be ready within the next week, a litter in the nest box, another litter due within the next w\few days, and possibly two more bred does due this month or into next.
