We bred George and Lola, and Sushi and Elizabeth yesterday. I plan to put Sushi and Penelope together soon. I love the broken torte color of Fabio, but I don't need another buck right now, so I'm hoping that repeating the breeding will result in a torte or broken torte doe that we could keep back.
This weekend Geranium, Fanny, Franny, and Farkle all went to new homes. We also decided to find new homes for Bennett and Elsa. I adore Bennett, but he's just too small for the direction we want to go with our herd. Elsa is a sweetheart, but she came as a rescue and we have successfully rehabilitated her, so she's ready for a forever home now.
We have a new visitor to the yard. A big solid black bunny has taken up residence in our yard. We see it often in the back garden, in the rabbit barn, and once in the front yard. This morning it was drinking from a puddle in the back yard. It's not tame enough to approach, but I'm hoping maybe we will get an opportunity to catch it somehow. I'd hate for it to be fending for itself come winter.
I managed to get some updated photos for some of the bunnies. Check out the Rabbits page!
Here are some photos of how the garden is doing...
