I pulled the teacup pieces out of the tumbler yesterday. They are pretty cute, but unfortunately all of the floral design and gold edging was worn away. It's all good though, it's still interesting. The pieces might just find their way on to eBay, or possibly I'll do some kind of craft project with them. I'm yet undecided. I spent almost two hours (and one carbon steel brush tool on the Dremel) last night working on getting the rust off the last chair. I'm about half done. I went to a couple stores and did some pricing, and it turns out that refurbishing a chair from a frame is a little expensive! Yikes! So I made a GoFundMe page to see if I could collect donations to help with the expenses so I don't have to set this project aside (or worse, recycle it after all that rust removal work). Please consider donating! I need to buy wood, padding, fabric, staples (already have a staple gun), paint, caps for the bottoms of the feet, and hardware to connect the seat to the chair. I think the half turn buttons will work, but I need four per chair. All things together, I'm looking at spending about $150 to redo four folding chairs.
