Not much to update, since I'm not on the homestead today. Still dog-sitting. I did get a few updates from the girls throughout the day. The two eggs in the incubator still have not pipped - maybe they're duds? The birds and bunnies are all doing well. It's supposed to get cold tonight. The forecast keeps getting lower and lower, and I'm starting to worry that I put my babies out too soon.
One of the girls called me in a panic late tonight. They went to lock up the barn for the night, and our guinea hen, Iris, is missing. She always stays in the flock with the two boys. I am honestly not surprised. I'm sure being killed by a predator is a possibility, but I'm guessing she's made a nest somewhere and is sitting on eggs. Since we found the two in the bunny barn and never again, I've had to guess she's laying them somewhere else. Still hoping she shows up, maybe with more reinforcements for the flock... but trying to be realistic too. I guess we just wait.
