Today I realized that I wasn't going to have enough yarn to finish the pot holder project. I ran to the local craft shop (seriously, there's only one in this town), but they didn't have this particular shade of blue. I must say, that doesn't surprise me. I should know better than to use old yarn without any paper tag for any kind of professional-looking project. Oh well. It'll work well for personal use, but it won't be one to make it to the County Fair. Now to figure out what color to accent it with when I reach the end of this skein.
I also spent this evening baking Amish Friendship Bread. I'll share more about that in the future. It's really kind of interesting and a fun way to try new flavors of sweet bread on a regular basis (every ten days). Tonight I made loaves of chocolate, strawberry, almond, cucumber, bell pepper, marshmallow, pecan, carrot, and apple cinnamon.
