This week Tony is on jury duty, so he is planning to be gone all day for the rest of the week. I'm glad that his employer pays for jury duty time, so he doesn't have to miss a paycheck!
I went out to move Caduci to a different cage and noticed that George's cage was wide open and he was gone... again. I searched the yard, looked under the bunny barn, around the garage, under the old van, and just as I stood up to give up and go back inside, there he was... In the neighbor's yard. Where I can't get to him. I called the kids out to help and all they ended up doing is chasing him through two yards, under a car a half a block away, and eventually right back into the neighbor's fenced yard and under their porch. Darn it George! So if we can get him caught again, he's going to the hutch with the dog kennel door that latches. He won't be able to escape again.
Today was the last warm day. From here it's supposed to get back into below freezing temperatures more normal for our area. I have not seen any sprouts in the winter sown containers (though I didn't check today). Now we can continue on with some of our annuals!
