Time to dig out the heated dog water dish for the birds, swap out the last five water bottles for bowls, and get used to chapped fingers and frozen noses during chore time.
On a side note, the guineas seem to have taken up roosting at the very end of the driveway. I have no idea why they'd choose the trees way out there rather than the coop or the barn. I hope they don't freeze to the trees tonight. I have identified them as both males (based on the noises they make). We have named them Bert and Ernie. Bert is the plain looking one that follows along, and Ernie is the one with a splash of white on his underside and bigger waddles who seems to be the leader.
