When making dinner the other day I came across three garlic cloves that had started to sprout. Someone told me they have to go through cold treatment to get a good sized bunch, but I wonder if I plant them in dirt and leave them under the light to grow a bit before putting them out in the cold to freeze, would that be enough to force it to form a bulb in the spring? I suppose there's nothing to lose by trying!
Happy Groundhog Day. I guess the big rodent saw his shadow and has forecasted an additional 6 weeks of winter. Of course, here in central Minnesota we always have at least six weeks left of winter from here, so no big surprises there. I did get a portion of the homebuyer education program started with Tony before he went to work this morning. We got the first section done (of six), and it says that's 17%. Yay for small progress, at least it's the right direction. Tony had a long day at work (they kept him two hours late and want him to come in early tomorrow). Poor guy is going to be exhausted by the time he gets home tomorrow afternoon. Hopefully if I let him have a nice long nap he will do the next section of the program with me when he gets up again. The sooner I can get him through this class, the sooner we can get our ducks in a row and make an offer on that house.
