As soon as we were done shopping my Mom called and asked if we would accompany her to the greenhouse. We do love the greenhouse and for some reason I always end up talking my mom into going, and she always spends more than she intends to. Today she had planned to go buy three plants. The Night Sky pansies she saw somewhere else, and I told her they had at the greenhouse.
And I can't leave the greenhouse without new plants too. I didn't take a photo (how unlike me!) but I bought two kinds of tomatoes (something yellow and Sweet 100's), and two kinds of peppers (sweet banana and Cajun Belle), as well as Howden pumpkin, golden Hubbard squash, Sugar Baby watermelon, and another spaghetti squash (we can't have enough of those). I got the last four potted into little planters today as they came in single-cell seed starter pots and wouldn't be able to keep enough moisture. I have to get more buckets to transplant the tomatoes and peppers, and to upgrade the ones I did today into bigger pots. I just used what I had on hand.
By then we were hungry, so we picked up lunch on our way back to the hotel. Sakura Express in Brainerd has the best teriyaki chicken, and we just discovered the shrimp tempura roll (or as #1 calls it "Heaven Food"). If you're ever in the area - I highly suggest trying them out! They serve Asian food and sushi.
Apparently our morning was so busy and our lunch was so delicious, most of us fell asleep for an afternoon nap. We got up again just in time for dinner, so Tony and the kids went out to eat. I'm full from lunch still.
