This year I am thankful to be able to spend the day with my entire family. I am fortunate to have them nearby and on good terms.
This year, I'd like to especially embrace those out there who may be missing someone this Christmas. I realize Christmas can be hard for a lot of folks. Those who have an empty seat at the table for a loved one no longer with you. Those who have one less stocking hung up today. To the folks who are struggling with loved ones you know won't make it to next Christmas. To those folks who don't have a family to come home to, for those who've been shunned or disowned from their family. For those folks who can't come home because they are far away from their loved ones, and for those families who are missing their loved ones who couldn't make it home for Christmas. Merry Christmas to the elderly folks who're alone this Christmas, and to the kids in foster care who may be celebrating differently than they are used to (for better or worse). To those who feel alone, even when surrounded by family, and to those who have to pretend to be someone they're not for fear of losing their family. To all of you, I wish you a safe and warm Christmas, and I really hope you know that I'm thinking about you today.
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night.
