At least Minnow (our turtle) seems to be happy. I fed her today. It'll be so nice to have her back in her big cage again. I feel bad keeping her in this tote bin while we await the house cleaning or house buying process to come through.
The field behind the hotel has been an excellent place to let Moose run. I can throw a rock and he will bound off to fetch it. It gives him some off-leash time where he can get some exercise and sunshine every day. Unfortunately the field is also a haven for wood ticks, is thickly infested with poison oak (especially around the outer edges), and has those terrible little goat head prickers (I've also heard them called sand burrs). The grass is long enough that if Moose lays down he disappears completely. Today #5 decided he needed to come along for Moose's off-leash time. He liked playing in the grass, but we did a thorough tick check when we got back in! I'm glad Moose is current on his Frontline to kill any ticks that climb on him!
