Tony's idea of the bright side of this is that with all the time off next week he can work on some of the projects we haven't had time to work on... Fixing the corner bench that was broken a while ago, repairing the kitchen door, maybe even getting some house chores done.
I'm not looking forward to three more weeks of stress and dread worrying about the epidural/spinal and recovery, especially now knowing that recovery will be made that much more difficult because I will literally have no down time once I leave the hospital. :(
The bunnies were especially happy to have water. They've been stuck on a ration of snow due to the below-freezing temperatures outside. It's supposed to be largely above freezing all week and into next week, so good news for the bunnies!
Bad news for the winter sowing containers. I'm really hoping the drops down below freezing at night keep the seeds from germinating too early. This is why we are supposed to wait until March and April for a good portion of the winter sowing. But alas, I was trying to plan around this darn surgery schedule and may have just screwed everything up as a result.
We are still not sure if we are planning for a garden here, or somewhere else. We were hoping to use the tax refund as the down payment, but Tony tells me the government is holding and processing the taxes with child credits which will delay them. Having five kids, we do file for the tax break and thus anticipate a delay in our refund. I'm watching the property and hoping that we can get the online class done and get all our "ducks in a row" so to speak to put in a possible offer as soon as that refund arrives.
We are thrilled to have #3 return from her long field trip. She is exhausted. And tonight is a dance at the high school that #1 went to with her friend. I hope they have fun!
