I bought mostly seeds for our own garden, a couple varieties for trading, and a few varieties with the intent to plant more than I need to sell plants. I'm getting very excited for winter sowing season (January through May here in zone 3).
Last year we planted several varieties of alpine strawberry that won't fruit until next year, but should come back every year from here on out. This year we will be attempting a lot more permaculture varieties, including apple, plum, and cherry trees, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, asparagus, and more rhubarb. With any luck we can get our permanent food supplies started before we even move!
