Low tonight is 8 degrees, and the high tomorrow is 18 degrees. Brrr!!! I may have to bribe a kid to do the bunny and chicken chores. After I type this up, I'm going to go set up the entry way for the barn cats and bring them in for the night. While I know the barn is safe, they have an enclosed area with hay and a blanket to snuggle up, they're both very young and small yet, and I want to give them the opportunity to stay at least a little warmer. The entry way will at least keep them above freezing for the night, but they'll have to go back out at some point (remember, they're barn cats - no litter box comprehension). Maybe Tony will take pity on them and let them stay in until Friday when it warms up to a high of 24 degrees.
We had a beautiful sunrise today. The photo below was taken just before 7am. This afternoon I spent almost four hours outside doing yard chores ahead of the cold weather coming in tonight and tomorrow. All the buckets in the photo above from our container garden this year are now put away for the winter. The other remaining buckets that were scattered around in front of the garage, and near the door have also been taken care of. The tools and fencing are put away, the tomato cage set off with the buckets in anticipation of next gardening season, and the last of the rabbit items that were in the garage have been moved to the bunny barn.
