As of today, Kin has been in the coop with the ladies for 31 days. Still no kits from Lady Mo. That means she wasn't pregnant when she arrived, she didn't breed with the original buck, and now we are hoping Kin did the job.
It is becoming apparent that the black and the white kits in the shelved litter are shaggy, like Boon was, so they are likely to have lionhead coats as they mature. The little brown guy still has us scratching our heads. Is he a rex? Something else? His coat is softer now, but still very short and plagued with ridges and cowlicks like you'd see on a guinea pig. Strangest fur I think I've seen yet. I'm very excited to see how he turns out. This litter is 23 days old today, so they still have lots of growing to do. Unfortunately, that also means they're mom is likely to abandon them in about a week because she's likely to have another litter coming due soon. She doesn't seem heavy or round right now when I pick her up (twice a day every day for feeding cycles), but that doesn't mean much.
