The bowl to the left is my prized Pink Sunshine tomatoes. The bowl to the right are Isis Candy tomatoes. The ones out front are the second crop from Bush Goliath. They're much smaller than the initial harvest, but awesome considering it's a determinate variety.
I had taken too long between watering the plants so some of them had died. But, not to waste an opportunity, I pulled the dried up plants out of the buckets and will be considering what I can grow in their place in my newfound mini garden in the basement. Tomatoes? Peppers? Beans? Lettuce? Maybe a bush zucchini? Start some strawberries? I'm afraid cucumbers, melons, and most squash will be out since they may sprawl or climb and I'm working with a very limited space. Maybe Space Saver or Pickle Bush cucumbers. They're supposed to stay compact. So many options!!
I did get the Musik garlic I'd been wanting, but I suspect it may be too late to plant it outside. Since the sample pack only has three little cloves, I'm going to try one outside and two in a bucket in the basement to see if I can get at least one clove of garlic to grow fully for a taste test and to provide some seed cloves for spring planting.
