We've been under a wind advisory all day with wind 20-30 miles an hour with gusts up to 50 miles per hour. I had to use boards and even a tire to hold the tarps in place, and the plastic roof on the two doe cages up by the house blew off and had to be put back and re-secured.
No babies for Elsa and her nest hasn't gotten any bigger. Though Alice appears to be nesting now. She has tufts of pulled fur in her nest area and has adamantly been pulling any piece of tarp in that she can. She did escape the cage about a month ago, so if she ends up having babies, it proves the black bunny is a buck. I hadn't planned on breeding her for another month to give her a full year of grow time, but we'll see what happens. Penelope is supposed to have a litter coming up too. Hers is the only planned litter.
Tonight I tried the one dish chicken and rice recipe, but I added green beans to the rice mix and used thyme instead of paprika. It smelled delicious as it cooked, and it tasted much better than my last attempt at it (when I added too much paprika). I highly suggest trying it with green beans and thyme instead of paprika. At dinner #5 held up a green bean on his fork and said "I like this part!"
