Self-Addressed Stamped Envelope Instructions
Written Instructions
Step 1: Address an envelope to yourself. Put one postage stamp on it. Do not use metered mail - it won't work. If you are sending or trading for larger seeds (peas, beets, etc.), please use a bubble envelope instead of a normal paper envelope.
Step 2 (optional, but much appreciated): Select some seeds you have extras of. Make sure they are properly labeled. All seeds should be enclosed in a paper coin envelope, or a small plastic craft baggy to prevent seeds from "escaping" in transit.
Step 3: Address a second envelope to:

PO Box 241
Brainerd, MN 56401
If you are sending a bubble mailer, you will also need to use a bubble mailer for this envelope.
Step 4: Put the envelope addressed to yourself, a note reminding me what you're requesting, or what we're trading, and the labeled seeds (if you are sending seeds) into the envelope heading for Brainerd. Make sure you add enough postage to cover the weight of the package. If you are sending large or round seeds, please include additional packaging, or send them in a bubble mailer to prevent seeds from being crushed or lost along the way.
Step 5: Pop it in the mail and wait for your self-addressed stamped envelope to return with seeds!

A Photo Guide to SASEs
Step 4: Put the envelope addressed to you, a note reminding me what we're trading or what you're requesting, and the seeds you're swapping (if you're sending seeds to me) into the envelope addressed to me. Check again to make sure you have proper postage (remember, postage due requests will not be fulfilled).
If you are feeling especially generous, I could definitely use envelopes, bubble mailers, bubble wrap or foam padding, craft baggies, postage stamps, paper coin envelopes, extra seeds, or money to help with these expenses to keep this project running.
The Fine Print
Due to seed and import/export laws, this offer is only available to people within the continental US. Envelopes that arrive "postage due," or without a self-addressed stamped envelope (with proper amount of stamps) will not be honored. If you are sending large or round seeds, please mail them in a padded envelope. If you prefer your seeds be shipped in a padded envelope, you can send a SASBE (Self-Addressed Stamped Bubble Envelope), or instead of a SASE/SASBE, please send $1 and 2 loose postage stamps - or $2. This will cover the cost of purchasing a bubble mailer plus two stamps (the seeds are free/trade). Please remember to include a note reminding me what we are trading for so I can send you the right seeds. If you like surprises, that's great too, or you can specify if you prefer vegetable, herb, or flower seeds and they will be selected at random for you. Check out our Seed Wish List for an idea of what we'd like to receive - though we'll accept all seeds, we're especially happy to get seeds we don't already have in our collection.
I look forward to swapping with you!
