Small or Large, rice-filled heat packs are perfect for achy muscles, sore necks, and period pains. Heat for 30 seconds (small) to one minute (large) and enjoy warm relaxation.
Our homemade heat packs are made with rice, which makes these heat packs easy to form to your contours. Cherry pit packs are always so loose that they never seem to stay where you want them. That's not a problem with these! Because they're stuffed with just the right amount of rice, they're both firm and form-able. These make excellent gifts because they're simple, handmade, and they work! We are offering two sizes: Small and Large.
The small size is great for hands, feet, or small areas. They're also good for helping to warm cold fingers after a snowball fight. They just need 30-second in the microwave.
The large size has two to three times as much rice as the small size, heats for 60-seconds, and works wonders for neck, shoulders, lower back, and belly (period cramps).
These heat packs are microwave safe for 30-60 second intervals, but should not be heated any longer than that. Do not use a heat pack on babies, or people who are unable to sense if they are getting too hot. These heat packs are not washable and should not be allowed to get wet. You can put them in the freezer to use as a cold pack, but they do not hold the cold nearly as well as they hold heat.
The photos included here are samples of the heat packs I have made for my own family. As of right now, colors and designs are random. I can try to accommodate color requests, but please include a second choice in case I can't find your first choice. Sorry, no character or specific design requests at this point, as I'm at the mercy of what the local stores have available.
