Yarn Art
I am currently running a fundraiser with my yarn creations! I am raising funds to help pay for spay surgery to get our two barn cats fixed. They're great cats, but we don't want a million barn cats. We're happy with two for now.
I am selling crocheted dish cloths for $3 each, or two for $5. For an additional $1 per dish cloth, I can also add on a row of hemp or sisal to give a scrubby side for stuck-on messes. The rainbow set (one each of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple) is available for $15 (or add a scrubby part to each for a total of $21). Dish cloths are typically 4.25 x 4.5 inches (without scrubby addition). Colors vary unless you're ordering the rainbow set.
I also have hair ties available for $2.50 each for random colors, or $4 each for the rainbow ones (as they take me a lot longer to make). The ones photographed here are mine and one of the kids'. The ones I make for sale have black bands. Colors vary unless you're ordering the rainbow one.
Please note all of these are hand made by me. There will be minor imperfections, you may find where I tucked in the extra ends of yarn, and measurements are approximate. When they get dirty, just throw them into the wash machine. The yarn I use tends to say it's safe for the dryer, but it can also be line dried too. I use the same products to wash my own dishes, and my kids wear these hair ties to school. The items I'm selling are new/unused, but the designs are tried and proven. Colors vary, I have a lot more than shown below, but that's what I had on hand when I snapped the photo.
I can ship at buyers expense ($4 flat rate for all orders inside the continental US - contact me if you need shipping outside of the continental US). I can meet and deliver in person in Staples, Pillager, or Brainerd/Baxter. Local orders can pay on pick up, orders to be shipped can pay via Paypal ([email protected]) or mail payment to:

When I was a child, my grandmother taught me to crochet pot holders. She was going to teach me to knit and to make scarves and mittens, but Alzheimer's disease took that away from us. With only basic knowledge of one type of stitch and only the ability to crochet in one direction, I loved to make pot holders.
Fast forward to 2018 when curiosity got the best of me. I needed a purse or small cross-body-strap bag to hold my phone and odds and ends I keep in my pants pockets for those rare occasions I wear a skirt (no pockets). I decided to give it a whirl with my mind as a guide. The first bag was passable. It functions as I need it to. It's not gorgeous, but it's pretty well made, especially for a first attempt.
Of course, then kids all wanted their own bag or purse too, so I made five more - each different than the others, some wider, some deeper, some with support straps, some with cross-body straps, and one with handles instead. One even had a pocket added in! From there I taught myself how to turn the stitch around and make a flat scarf instead of just going in one direction or in a circle.
What else could I make? I tried my hand at hats, scarves, coasters, cat toys, dish cloths, and even hair ties. I love playing with yarn! Want to be super awesome? Yarn donations are always welcome! I love getting surprise packages too.
