Color: Dark carrot orange
Shape: Beefsteak/Round Suze: 10-12 ounces, 3-1/2 inches DTM: 77-80 Notes: Information on this variety seems a little jumbled. Some sites list it as determinate, some as indeterminate, some claim it's a beefsteak, others say it's round. It is said to have ten times the beta caritene of other tomatoes, and is an improved version of Caro Red. Regular leaf, low acid, drought tolerant, good taste and heavy yields. No problems with cracking. Color: Purple to Black
Shape: Round Size: 2 to 2-1/2 ounces, 2 inches DTM: 70-80 Notes: Indeterminate, open pollinated, cross from OSU Blue. Said to be one of the darkest available "blue" tomatoes. They turn from red to deep purple or black where exposed to the sun. This may be the proper name of a variety currently being traded and sold as "Dancing With Smurfs." Can be grown in a large container. Though not required, it does do better with some support. Color: Dark Red (Burgundy) with Green stripes
Shape: Round Size: 3-4 ounces, 1-1/2 to 2 inches DTM: 75-85 Notes: Indeterminate late season, vigorous with good disease resistance. Prolific production. Suitable for containers. Color: Deep Purple to Mahogany Brown
Shape: Round Size: 1 to 1-1/2 inches, about the size of a grape DTM: 64-65 Notes: Indeterminate, plants grow six to eight feet tall and do require a cage. Open pollinated, disease resistant, regular leaf, abundant yields. Color: Purple
Shape: Round Size: Ping Pong Ball DTM: 75-80 Days Notes: Does require at least two plants to produce fruit (not self-pollinating). Provide support, but expect this to be a very large plant. Most places suggest they get five to six feet tall, but large numbers of people who grow these say they can grow much larger. Fruit is ready to be picked when it swells until the husk splits. Start indoors six to eight weeks before your last frost date, just like a tomato. You can leave these on your counter (in husk) up to a week, or in your refrigerator for three weeks. If you'll be freezing them, store them in their husks. Color: Yellow
Shape: Round Size: Cherry/Blueberry DTM: 75, 85-100 Notes: Open Pollinated, but does require a second plant to produce fruit (not self-pollinating). Prolific plants are said to get four feet tall and four feet wide, but numerous reports of tomatillo plants getting much larger. Will self-seed if given the opportunity. Fruit is ready to be picked when it swells and splits the husk. Color: Red with Yellow Stripes
Shape: Round/Cherry Size: Ping Pong Ball or smaller DTM: 60-70 Notes: Also known as Amurskiy Tigr or Siberian Tiger. This variety is from Russia. It's semi-determinate. Red with stripes. You can tell this one is ripe when the stripes change from green to yellow. Productive, but may crack if ripe fruit is left in the rain. I'm setting up this blog to keep track of the seed stash that is quickly overtaking the box. By using the Categories, I will be able to sort the seeds by color, variety, etc to make it easier to find information when I need it.

Seed Stash BlogIn an attempt to keep my seed stash organized, and yet easily accessible, I'm going to use this blog. The plan is to make a blog post for each seed variety as I research it, tagging it to pertinent information. That way, I can come back later and search through the seed stash (even if I'm not at home), or sort results by growing factors! Categories
