As long as we're on the topic... I'm also hoping to try my hand at soap making. The plus side, if I get the supplies and make some soap, and it doesn't sell... it won't just sit around... We can certainly put it to good use. A functional hobby!
This morning I woke up with a swollen sore throat, my sinuses are not well, and it feels like I got hit in the face. Pain from below my eye and down my jaw. Allergies is my guess. And of course I forgot to pick up more allergy pills last time we went shopping. Tony should be able to stop for some pills Wednesday after work. I'll just have to tough it out until then. And for the record, we do have a couple pills left, but #1 also suffers from allergies, so I'm leaving them for her.
As you can imagine it's been a slow day. I didn't even manage to go outside today. My face hurts, my throat hurts, and there's no sign of relief until Wednesday evening. I'm hoping it doesn't turn into a sinus infection before then. Allergies are no fun. I'm just glad none of ours are life-threatening. Or, at least the one that is can easily be avoided (no angora rabbits for me, thanks).
I ordered birthday gifts for a couple of the kids and Tony, and started Christmas shopping. Yeah, wow. That's a first. I'm usually the one scrambling in December to come up with something. We're buying a bit here and there with extra money to make Christmas a little more affordable. I'm checking prices and comparing websites and stores to get good deals. Buying this early also means the kids won't be asking for all the toys that come out with ads in November and December. Hopefully by then most of the shopping will be done. Then it's just a matter or wrapping everything while they're out of the house. But enough talk of Christmas in July.
I'm not sure what my plans are for tomorrow. It'll be another long day with Tony working a 12-hour shift, a friend coming to pick up one of the kids, and all the standard chores still need to be done of course. I wish I had all day to lounge around and do long/slow or fun projects. Finishing #2's crochet bag, re-organizing the seed collection, putting together the coffee mug holder racks I want to build under the kitchen cabinets... but alas, my day will more likely be filled with dishes, laundry, barn chores, and house cleaning. The never ending chores.
