I had a pot with aloe vera in it that accidentally got left in the entry way when everything else got moved indoors. It froze solid, and remained that way. When it got brought inside a couple weeks ago, it thawed and promptly turned to mush. I left it sit for a while to see if it might perk back up, but a solid freeze was just too much. It was a goner.
Today I took the aloe remains out of the pot and replaced them with a single clove of Silver Rose Garlic from SeedsNow.
Anyway, I tucked the second largest clove of Silver Rose in the center of the pot, gently firming the dirt around it, and then giving it a drink of water.
Anyway, this officially kicks off gardening 2018! Silver Rose Garlic takes the award for First Official Planting of the year! What a way to say goodbye to January!
