When potatoes are harvested, rule #1 is leave the dirt on! Don't wash them off! I knew this one, as you can see from the potatoes.
What I wasn't aware of was that potatoes need to be "cured" for two to three weeks before they can be stored. Well, we're almost out of space as it is (hence needing a new home), so I'm not entirely sure how we will deal with it if we get a good crop from the tire and wooden towers. For right now, since there were only 29 small potatoes in this harvest, I was able to fit all of them onto one wire mesh shelf on the desk. Use what you've got, right?
