I'm considering doing a weekly shout out to a random pet for adoption on Petfinder. I keep browsing there, but my home is quite full, and since some of the cats are not spayed or neutered, most rescues will not adopt to our home anyway. If I find a face I really like, perhaps posting about them could lead to a little more exposure that could help them find a home. A disclaimer, I do not know the rescues, I do not check into them or screen them in any way. I am not promoting the rescues, merely promoting adoption and hoping maybe some that pull my heartstrings might pull yours too. I'll start today. Here goes:
I found a senior dog named Tina, who's with Heart Of A Border Collie Rescue in Minneapolis. Tina is 13 years old, is labeled as special needs due to some liver issues, and needs a home without children. Unfortunately, our home is full of kids, so we would not be an ideal home for Tina. Her face pulled at my heart strings and this is why I've decided to share her today. Perhaps someone reading this blog might fall in love with her too, or know someone who might be looking for an older dog. Her adoption fee is $200 plus tax.
