This morning I got 15 apples from the apple tree, and a handful of sage from the garden.
And of course, just as I start feeling like I'm accomplishing something, I noticed one of the kits in the quarantine cage is dying. It's so heartbreaking, and so overwhelming that I'm starting to just feel numb. Bunny had been looking better the last couple of days. No more sneezing, eating the hay and pellets and sunflower seeds, and the comfrey leaves. I don't know what else to do, but keep cleaning and hope that the spread stops. It's starting to show up in some of the breeding rabbits now, at least one of which is on the complete opposite side of the barn with no access to the sick rabbits. I'm left to wonder if the barn kitten is carrying it and exposing everyone (she climbs that cage to get up on top of it). If that's the case, everyone is potentially exposed, regardless of quarantine in the far corner of the barn. I'm seriously concerned I'm going to lose my entire herd.
