In other news, a couple weeks ago #1 got a pair of gerbils. one died shortly thereafter, and she decided she didn't want the survivor (she blamed the bigger gerbil for the death of the smaller gerbil), so she passed it along to #2. We are now looking for one or two more female gerbils to keep her company, but it turns out that there are no breeders in our area. The next closest place to find a gerbil is a pet store 45 miles away that may or may not have gerbils from who-knows-what kind of background. I guess with no other option, it's on the "to-do" list but it's unfortunately on a back-burner for now.
I've got a few listings on eBay at the moment, you can see them HERE if you're interested in checking them out. My current mini-project is listening to a box of old 45's (vinyl records) to see which ones play all the way through. Hopefully in the next few days or weeks I can get Tony to help me post them on Amazon for sale. I will post a link to our Amazon items as soon as I can get a hold of the link.
I've noticed that there is only one breeder of hamsters in our area, and no breeders available for mice, rats, gerbils, or guinea pigs. I really need to get this business started. The market is just waiting for a supplier! Please help me achieve this goal!
